Yellow Arrow content includes single points of interest authored by users, and professional-quality curated tours through urban landscapes. To date, Yellow Arrows have been placed in 395 cities and 37 countries. Participants hale from 86 countries and include designers, academics,
developers, community organizers, and urban explorers. Yellow Arrow has been praised by the digerati and written about in publications such as Wired, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek and countless others.
Originally conceived as a wide scale art project, the site evolved to include many "curated projects" (developed by the user base, then shaped and edited by our production team), as well as several large in house projects such as, "Capitol of Punk." Capital of Punk, made up of mobile tours and documentary videos about the Washington D.C. punk music scene, features candid interviews with Ian MacKaye (Fugazi), Dante Ferrando (Ignition, Black Cat), Ian Svenonius (Nation of Ulysses, Make-Up) and others. In short, it's cool - and may have cemented our collective street cred.
